We’d greatly appreciate your partnership to collaboratively support families within our community who have children with medical complexity. You can make a positive difference in the lives of each family member, and in the quality of life for the family as a whole.

Your donation helps us give a personalized approach to care during a family’s most challenging of times. From giving a financial gift that enables parents to pay a bill they can’t afford or gas to get to doctor appointments, or a customized gift package that helps relieve stress and pass long time periods in the hospital, we give families tangible support while being there for them emotionally and connecting them to necessary additional resources.

Together, we focus on the whole health and well-being of the whole family — the children and their caregivers — in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Many face extreme hardship and chronic stress.

Your gift is tax-deductible. We work with you as our partner, and welcome your collaboration. When you donate:

• $10,000, you can support hospital-based programming that you can help co-create with Eliana's Light, while you also enable us to give personalized care to 15 families.

• $5,000, you can co-create a new initiative with us, and also enable us to give personalized care to at least 5 local families.

• $1,000, you will enable us to give personalized care to at least 2 local families.

• $500, you will enable us to give a customized Constellation Kit to at least 1 local family.

• $250, you will purchase 1/2 of a Constellation Kit, which will be supplemented with in-kind donations we receive from our Amazon Wish List or purchases we make from other donations.

• Up to $250, you will enable us to purchase items to include in Constellation Kits for families.

Make An In-Kind Donation

Items on our Amazon Wish List have been carefully selected by parents with children who have complex medical conditions, Child Life Specialists, and therapists. They are options for children of various ages and capabilities, and also for their caregivers. Eliana's Light selects items we receive as in-kind donations to create Eliana's Light Constellation Kits (i.e., gift bags) for families after we have talked first with the family to learn what will be appropriate, safe, and used.

Pledgeling's purpose is to empower impact by connecting brands and consumers to their favorite causes around the world. Participating companies contribute through Pledgeling's Impact Giving Toolkit. Pledgeling helps businesses grow through their giving. It works for online stores, including with Shopify's Give & Grow program, and brick-and-mortar stores. The donation amounts sent to their Nonprofit Partners, such as Eliana's Light, vary according to the costs of their impacts. We'd love to collaborate with you to organize a fundraiser at your house or in your community. Examples of fundraisers that supporters have organized for Eliana's Light to date include: Paint Nights, lemonade stands, and birthday parties that donate in the name of the birthday girl/boy. Donate A General Or A Themed Eliana's Light Constellation Kit For A Family

These gift bags are tailored to meet a family's interests and needs. They are either general or themed (e.g., a "Feeding Therapy Constellation Kit") based on the priority of the family. A general kit may include items such as a gift certificate to a local compounding pharmacy (to reduce financial stress), a gift certificate to a local cleaning agency (so the caregiver doesn't have to worry about cleaning for a bit), a yoga mat (if the caregiver would use it to stretch for stress-relief or a child would use it to do yoga as a complement to physical therapy), etc. A themed kit for feeding therapy, for example, includes items that feeding therapists have recommended for the child (e.g., a soft plush toy for the positive touch sensation, a CD of meditative music that helps create a calm environment in which the feeding therapy session will be conducted, etc.). For $500, you can contribute a full Eliana's Light Constellation Kit to a family. For $250, you can contribute 1/2 of a kit, which will be supplemented by other donations. If you donate $50, we'll be able to add specific and appropriate items to a kit. This kit may already have items from the Amazon Wish List, for example. If you'd like to contribute an Eliana's Light Constellation Kit for a family, please email us and we can discuss a specific family that will receive your gift.

Ask Your Employer If Your Employer Will Match Your Donation

Your donation can have double its impact if your employer matches gifts to non-profit organizations. Please email us if you'd like to discuss a matching donation.
